As a distinguished civil society organisation, the Turkish Education Association, has a grand vision for the country, stimulating civil initiative in the area of education and playing an effective role in education policies. With the same intentions, TEDMEM was established as a part of the Association in 2012.

TEDMEM is a think-tank, aspiring to provide evidence-based research data and produce new ideas and publications proactively for The Turkish education system to bridge the gap between knowledge and policy.

TEDMEM;

Conducts research and prepares reports to guide education policies and raise public awareness.
Analyses the issues that constitute the agenda of education policy or practices.
proposes policy recommendations based on national and international data regarding both the country’s needs and global trends.
Organizes events such as scientific meetings, conferences, and workshops to discuss educational problems with stakeholders and reflect common mind to policies.

In the simplest terms: TEDMEM works as a bridge between decision-makers, administrators, teachers, educational institutions, representatives of non-governmental organizations, academics and other stakeholders.
